Two-Component Elastic Waterproofing Material – ARDEX 4+5
ARDEX 4+5 is a two-component elastic waterproofing material providing excellent waterproofing under ceramic tiles and stone. It is flexible, solvent-free, and suitable for both interior and exterior applications. The product maintains its crack-bridging capability even at low temperatures, ensuring durability and reliability in various applications.
Usage Areas
For both interior and exterior applications, on walls and floors.
Used for waterproofing under various types of ceramic and similar coverings in wet areas with floor drains such as showers, bathrooms, general showers and bathrooms, utility rooms, public showers and pools, garden terraces, and public areas. It ensures waterproofing in the direction of water impact.
Suitable for waterproofing in wet areas specified in Chapter 7 of the Building Waterproofing Regulation and for pools and water tanks specified in Chapter 8.
Exterior Applications:
Used on balconies and terraces (where there is no living space underneath) to waterproof and protect the underlying surface, typically applied on cement screeds and concrete surfaces before the application of ceramic or similar coverings. It prevents lime efflorescence.
ARDEX 4+5 should not be used as the primary waterproofing material in buildings.
Product Type
ARDEX 4+5 is composed of a solvent-free dispersion and a cement-based powder material. The application is done by mixing the two products in a 1:2 ratio (liquid: powder). Once dried and cured, ARDEX 4+5 is waterproof, highly elastic, and does not cause discoloration in silicone joint fillers.
