Latex-Based Self-Leveling Screed – ARDEX K 60

ARDEX K 60 is a latex-based, self-leveling screed that provides high flexibility and water resistance. Ideal for various substrates, including renovation projects, it can be applied up to 15 mm thick in a single layer or up to 30 mm when mixed with sand.

Usage Areas

Used indoors on floors.

Suitable for:

  • Cement, calcium sulfate, bitumen-based screeds
  • Terrazzo floors
  • Thin screed systems with underfloor heating
  • Metal substrates
  • Wood, chipboard, and similar substrates
  • Old, renovation-needed floors with water-resistant adhesive and mortar residues
  • Existing ceramic and similar floor coverings
  • Various critical existing floors

Ideal for smoothing and leveling floors before the installation of parquet, PVC, linoleum, rubber-based floor coverings, ceramic tiles, etc. It is a self-leveling, cement and latex-based, rapid setting and curing thin screed material.

In wet areas like bathrooms, it can be applied directly over ARDEX S7, ARDEX S8 Flow, ARDEX 8+9, and ARDEX SK100W TRICOM waterproofing layers to level and smooth the substrate before installing PVC and other elastic coverings or pre-finished parquet floors to be bonded with ARDEX AF 460 MS.

To prevent rising moisture from the substrate, it can be applied at least 5mm thick within 24 hours over a non-sanded surface of ARDEX EP 2000 epoxy primer used as a moisture barrier.

In normal living spaces, it can be applied directly over concrete floors and rough concrete screeds together with ARDEX EP 2000 to prevent moisture from rising.

It is self-leveling and fluid, automatically smoothing and leveling itself, and does not crack even in thick layers.

Product Content

ARDEX K 60 is used as a two-component set consisting of gray cement powder and latex emulsion. No water is added. When the components are mixed, a perfectly smooth, self-leveling, easy-to-apply mortar with a working time of approximately 20 minutes is obtained, which is walkable after 2-3 hours. The product dries without internal stress, creating a coating with high adhesion strength, elasticity, and water resistance.
